Gold Jewelry Statistics, 2026

A clear look at the latest available U.S. and global gold jewelry demand data, including volume, spending, and how higher gold prices shaped buying in 2025.

Last updated August 18, 2026. Figures below cover the 2025 calendar year.

The snapshot

Less gold by weight, more dollars spent.

Gold jewelry demand moved in two directions at once in 2025. Higher gold prices reduced the quantity of gold bought in the United States and around the world, while the dollar value of jewelry purchases rose.

These figures describe gold jewelry demand in the market, not the material, price, or availability of any individual Clothworks Shop item.

What the figures show

Price mattered more than appetite.

The 2025 figures show that demand by weight fell while spending increased. In practical terms, shoppers faced a more expensive raw material, so the market recorded less gold moving through jewelry purchases even as the value of those purchases rose.

For anyone comparing jewelry trends, it helps to keep volume and spending separate. A rising sales value does not automatically mean more gold jewelry was purchased by weight.
